Mrs E Sloan Chair of Governors
Chair email – sloane@changinglives.education
My name is Emma Sloan and I am a Parent Governor, I have 3 beautiful children, two of which attend Arlecdon School. I work as a Commercial Manager within the Nuclear Industry working on multi million pound contracts with over 25 years’ experience in this field. My skills easily transfer to an education setting to ensure our children get the best opportunities and can excel. In my spare time I am lucky enough to share the same interests as my family and enjoy, listening to music and attending gigs and festivals, snowboarding and fell walking.
Miss Z Wood
I have been teaching at Thornhill Primary school for three years. In my current role, I lead English across the school, supporting teachers with planning, assessment, and the delivery of high-quality lessons. I also lead phonics provision and am responsible for half-termly assessment data across EYFS and Key Stage 1. In addition to my teaching and curriculum responsibilities, I serve as a Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead. I take this responsibility seriously and strive to be approachable and supportive in this role, offering advice and guidance to colleagues. I understand the expectations of the Staff Governor role and I am eager to build on my experience and contribute a meaningful impact at a whole-school level.
Ms R Corrin
I am the Teaching Head of School at Arlecdon Primary School with over 30 years of experience in education, including more than 20 years in teaching. I bring a broad range of skills and insights gained from working across various schools and childcare settings. My previous experience also includes serving as a staff governor, which I believe will be invaluable in my role on the governing body.
I am excited to collaborate with such a dedicated team and to continue building on the fantastic work already in place and look forward to working closely with colleagues, parents, and the wider community to support the Trust school’s ongoing success.
Miss J Morfoot
My name is Jasmine, I am a Parent Governor at Thornhill Primary School where I have 2 children who attend. I currently work as Business Support in the Nuclear Industry and have worked there for 15 years. In my spare time I enjoy mountain biking, dog walking and spending family time outdoors.
Mrs G Thomas
I am married with two children, my son is in High School just starting GCSEs and my daughter has just started college to study Hairdressing and Beauty. I have direct links with Thornhill Primary School as I attended it right through my childhood – my cycling proficiency certificate was gained there, I played Netball and Rounders on the school team and I went on to continue my education at Wyndham School that is now Westlakes Academy.
In my spare time I love music and attending concerts, supporting Liverpool Football Club, reading (I am a member of a bookclub called Reading Between the Wines) and going out for meals with family and friends.
