BREAKFAST & AFTER SCHOOL CLUBS

Childcare is available before and after school for those families who wish to access our ‘wrap-around care’ services.  Our wrap around clubs are a great way for your child to start and / or end their day in a safe, caring familiar environment. The children have the opportunity to do arts and crafts and play a wide range of activities and games that change each term. They also benefit from spending time with other children within the school.

BREAKFAST CLUB

Thornhill Primary School receives sponsorship from Greggs as part of the Greggs Breakfast Club scheme. This means that we are able to offer a simple, nutritious breakfast, free of charge to all children from 8.00am until 8.50am.

Eating breakfast has been shown to make a difference to children’s concentration in lessons and may have longer-term learning benefits. What’s more, coming to Breakfast Club is a lot of fun!

Breakfast Club is available daily from 7.30am charged at £1.50 and free from 8.00am.  Various activities are available for the children to choose from until it is time to start the school day at 8.50am.

AFTER SCHOOL CLUB

Our Afterschool Club provides care and recreation for children after a busy day of learning; there will often be the opportunity to play outside to unwind within the school grounds. A light, healthy snack and drink will be available for the children and there will be opportunities for them to choose from a range of activities or just take time to relax.

After school Club is available from 3.15pm until 4.30pm Monday to Friday during term time.

The cost of each session is £3.00 per hour.

SUPERVISION & SAFETY OF OUR CHILDREN

The school will make every effort to ensure the safety and well-being of children during normal school hours and during any activities organised by the school outside of these hours. In addition, staff will supervise children if they are late to be picked up due to an unforeseen circumstance. If children are not at Breakfast Club we request that parents do not send or bring children to school before 8.45am.
